2019 New Harmony Market begins April 27!

Spring is here (barely!) and we might all be wondering whether we can finally plant our gardens, but the market masters are busy planning this season’s market, which will open April 27.

We chose this date because it marks the last day of a popular and well attended week of open air painters in our town.  Their art show is that morning at the Ribeyre Gymnasium up the block from the market site, so you can take in art and peruse our wonderful offerings — though no tomatoes yet, of course.

We are still looking for new vendors of produce and artisan crafts — see our Facebook page for the forms, and please come to our vendor meeting on Sunday, March 24, 2-4 pm,  at the Workingmen’s Institute (on Tavern Street across from the Market site), to meet our market masters and share ideas for how we can improve the market and get more traffic. We will provide refreshments.

Our Market masters are Scott Lamar, Artisan Homestead goatsmilk products; Sara Browning, who brings eggs, baked goods, and delightful craft items; Steve Cochran, who brings organic garden produce and handmade books, and Laura Nicholson, with her signature hand-printed tea towels and other gift items.

Vendor questions, please call Sara: 812/457-3854, or come to the market meeting on the 24th.
